Why Is There Never Enough Time?

If you’re anything like me, Sunday evening rolls around and you’re left wondering—where did the weekend go? Monday is knocking at the door, and I’m thinking about what actually got done, what’s rolling over into the week ahead, and whether I even managed to get the grocery shopping finished. (Spoiler: not always.)

That unsettled, rushed feeling often creeps in when I haven’t taken the time to plan and prioritize the “must-do” things in my life. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not a fan of micromanaging every minute of my day. I love leaving room for spontaneous outings, a peaceful walk in the park, or a glorious Sunday nap. But I also have to be realistic—life comes with responsibilities, and they won’t take care of themselves.

This is where Reiki has become a surprisingly powerful ally for me. No, Reiki won’t magically add more hours to your day—but it does help me clear my mind, focus on what truly matters, and see how my priorities fit together. For me, it’s like putting on polarized sunglasses. They don’t just protect your eyes—they sharpen the details, deepen the colors, and bring out beauty you didn’t notice before. Reiki has a way of doing that for my time and energy.

So this week, I’m setting an intention: to use Reiki more consciously in my daily planning. Through more mindful meditation and Reiki self-practice, I believe I’ll notice opportunities I’ve been overlooking and find joy even in the “must-do” tasks.

If you’ve been feeling like there’s never enough time, maybe try inviting Reiki into your planning process. You might not gain extra hours—but you can gain clarity, balance, and a renewed sense of joy in how you spend the ones you have.
